Goa - The Government of Goa Vide. No – CLE/PA/MWA-VDA/ (10)/2016/4954 has issued order regarding revision of minimum wages for scheduled employments with effect from 01st October 2024.

Punjab - The Government of Punjab Vide. No – ST/18566 has issued Notification regarding revision of minimum wages for scheduled employments with effect from 01st September 2024.

Karnataka - The Government of Karnataka Vide No. DPAR 16 HHL 2024, has issued Notification regarding list of holidays for calendar year 2025.

Delhi - The Government of Delhi Vide No. 53/689/GAD/CN/2024-25/2065-2111, has issued Notification regarding list of holidays for calendar year 2025.

Gujarat - The Government of Gujarat Vide No.GS/26/2024/JSR/2024/605/GH, has issued Notification regarding list of holidays for calendar year 2025.

West Bengal - The Government of West Bengal Vide No. 4712-F(P2) , has issued Notification regarding list of holidays for calendar year 2025.

Submission of Annual report under PoSH Act in Haryana

As per Notification No. 2457 - Every government and non-government organization in Gurugram must submit their annual report on workplace harassment cases by February 28th each year, as per the PoSH Act, 2013. Non-compliance will result in a ₹50,000 penalty and potential strict action.

ESI Claims only by Online Submission of Cash benefit claims through IP Portal

As per notification number N-11012/5/2023-BFT-II-Part(1) dated 05.11.2024, the ESIC mandated online submission of cash benefit claims via the IP Portal. Despite previous directives, many claims are still processed offline, and some Branch Managers are requesting physical documents even for online claims. The Director General has instructed all Regional Directors and Branch Managers to ensure claims are filed online and to avoid seeking physical documents if submitted online, warning that non-compliance will be taken seriously.

Amendment of EDLI- Employees Deposit Linked Insurance Scheme

Government of India vide Gazette Notification No. G.S.R. 715(E) dated 18th November 2024, notified Employees' Deposit-Linked Insurance (Second Amendment) Scheme 2024, effective from April 28, 2024, which ensures that upon the death of an employee, beneficiaries receive a minimum of ₹2,50,000 and a maximum of ₹7,00,000, based on the average monthly wages and account balance of the deceased. For part-time employees, the benefit is calculated on the aggregate average wages from all establishments.

ELI Scheme announced in Budget – Mandatory UAN Activation and seeding Bank Account with AADHAAR

As per notification no. - ELI/UANActivation/2024, dated 22.11.2024, all employers covered under EPFO must ensure UAN activation and AADHAAR seeding in employees' bank accounts by 30th November 2024 to avail benefits under the Employment Linked Incentive (ELI) Scheme announced in the Union Budget. This is mandatory for Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) of benefits to eligible employees. Employers are directed to first seed the UAN of employees joined in current financial year.

Rajasthan amendment Mandatory online registration of private security agencies

Rajaswthan Government vide Notification no. G.S.R.76 dated 19-November-2024, amended the Rajasthan Private Security Agencies (Regulation) (Amendment) Rules, 2024, effective from the date of publication, mandate that applications in Form-I, along with specified fees, must be submitted online through the PSARA portal to the Controlling Authority to obtain registration of private security agencies.

No seeding of Aadhaar for International Workers Settlement of claims

As per notification number WSU/2020/Claim, dated 29-November-2024, certain classes of members are exempted from the requirement of seeding Aadhaar for claim settlement. These include International Workers who have left India, Indian Workers who have migrated and obtained foreign citizenship, and citizens of Nepal and Bhutan working in India. Physical claims for these members should be processed using alternate IDs like Passport or Citizenship Identification Certificate.

West Bengal Extension of Jurisdiction of Tribunals & ESI Courts

As per notification No - LABR/562--i23099/17/2023(L1TECEIC), the Government of West Bengal has extended the jurisdiction of presiding officers of Industrial Tribunals, Labour Courts, Employees' Compensation Court, and Employees' Insurance Court to ensure quick disposal of cases. This includes adjudication under various acts such as the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947, and the Employees' Compensation Act, 1923. The notification empowers these officers to act in additional capacities and distribute pending cases for efficient resolution.

Gurugram - work from home advisory

The Commission for Air Quality Management has directed that effective from 20-November 2024, for the implementation of Stage IV GRAP measures due to severe air quality in the NCR, all private institutions and corporate offices in Gurugram are advised to have employees work from home until further notice to help improve air quality.
