Central: The Ministry of Labour and Employment Vide File No.1/27(1)/2024-LS-II, has issued the Central Minimum Wages Notification for various employment with effect from 01st October 2024.

Tamil Nadu: The Government of Tamil Nadu vide Gazette Notification dated 11-Sep-2024, notification regarding revision of minimum wages for employment in Shops and commercial establishments with effect from 11th September 2024.

Odisha: The Government of Odisha Vide No.6432/LC has issued notification regarding revision of minimum wages for scheduled employment with effect from 01st October 2024.

Uttar Pradesh: The Government of Uttar Pradesh Vide No.801-07 Enforcement (MW)/15 has issued Notification regarding revision of minimum wages for the scheduled employment with effect from 01st October 2024.

Madhya Pradesh: The Government of Madhya Pradesh Vid No.5/11/Inv/five/2024/29501-750, has issued Notification regarding revision of minimum wages for the scheduled employment with effect from 01st October 2024.

Bihar: The Government of Bihar Vide No-5/MW-40-16/2021 L&R-07, has issued notification regarding revision of minimum rate of wages for scheduled employment with effect from 01st October 2024.

Andhra Pradesh: The Government of Andhra Pradesh Vide No.G/197/2024, has issued revision of minimum wages for various schedules employment with effect from 01st October 2024.

Delhi: The Government of NCT Delhi Vide F.No.(142)/02/MW/VII/Part file/3478-3495 , has issued minimum wages revision order with effect from 01st October 2024.

Chhattisgarh: The Government of Chhattisgarh vide No.8/N/W/Sh.A/2024/6210, has issued notification regarding revision of minimum wages for various scheduled employment with effect from 01st October 2024.

Himachal Pradesh: The Government of Himachal Pradesh Vide No. Shram (A)4-1/2024, has issued Notification regarding revision of minimum wages for the scheduled employment with effect from 01st April 2024.

Pondicherry: The Government of Pondicherry vide No.125, has released minimum wages revision notifications for various employments with effect from 20th September 2024.

Gujarat: The Government of Gujarat vide No.Sh.5.5/3.3/502524, has released minimum wages revision notifications for Manufacturing company, shops & Establishment and contractors with effect from 01.10.2024.

Notification under Tripura Factories Rules

The Government of Tripura Vide No. F.2(365)-FB/EODB/BRAP/2024/878-84, has issued Notification under Tripura Factories Rules, 2007 (submission procedure, Checklist, Fees, Timeline, Risk Category, Business Location and Foreign/Domestic Investor through online portal for ease of doing business).

Press release regarding online submission of Form C - Notice of Change under Andaman S&E Regulation

The Department of Labour, Andaman & Nicobar Administration Vide No. A/1/2022-Estt.Sec-LAB_AN/874, in alignment with the Ease of Doing Business and Digital India initiatives, has facilitated online submission of ‘Form C’ (Notice of Change) for employers of Shops and Establishments in these isles w.e.f. 3rd September 2024. Thereafter any changes in registered establishments under the Andaman & Nicobar Islands Shops & Establishments Regulation, 2004, can only be submitted via online Form C.

Memo note regarding Implementation of Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013

Haryana Labour department has issued memo vide no.42 for the formation of an Internal committee as per the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 and reporting in prescribed format on or before 05-Sep-2024.

Platform Aggregators to register themselves and their platform workers on e-shram portal

The central government through notification vide.no. No.W-11015/15/2024-RW (GPW) is urging platform aggregators to register themselves and their workers on the e-Shram Portal to ensure gig and platform workers receive social security benefits. The Ministry of Labour and Employment has issued guidelines and set up a helpline to assist with the registration process, aiming for comprehensive coverage of these workers.

Amendment to Madhya Pradesh labour welfare rules

The Madhya Pradesh Government proposes amendments vide notification.no. 1077-1789860-2024-A-XVI to the Madhya Pradesh Labour Welfare Fund Rules, 1984, under Section 33 of the Madhya Pradesh Labour Welfare Fund Act, 1982. Published in the Madhya Pradesh Gazette on June 21, 2024, the amendment to Rule 15(b) states that payments up to ₹15,000 can be made by an officer not below the rank of Assistant Welfare Commissioner, while amounts exceeding ₹15,000 must be made by the Welfare Commissioner.

Kerala - Factories (Amendment) Rules

The Kerala government has made amendment through Government Notification No. B2/15/2023/LBR the Kerala Factories (Amendment) Rules, 2024, effective immediately, change “Appendix II” to “Appendix III” in Rule 8, Sub-rule (3). Additionally, no fee for transferring a factory license will be charged, except for the amendment fee, if the factory is closed and taken over due to specific certified reasons.
