Removal of the Aadhaar for proofs of date of birth in ESI

The Employees State Insurance Corporation of India vide Circular No. N-12013/2/2023-BFT-II, has issued UIDAI guidelines and Circular regarding Removal of the Aadhaar card from the list of acceptable documents for proofs of date of birth in ESI. Aadhar shall not be considered for correction of date of birth of insured persons and their dependents.

The Employees State Insurance Corporation vide Circular No. N-16016/1/2023-Bft-II, has issued Circular regarding forwarding of user manual for bulk Aadhaar seeding of ESIC beneficiaries through employer portal.

SOP for Joint Declaration for Member Profile Updation

The Employees Provident Fund Organisation vide Circular No. WSU/2022/(E-54018)/3931 dated 31-Jul-2024, notified Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for Joint Declaration for Member Profile Updation version 3.0 in EPF.

SOP for Transaction-less and Inoperative Accounts

The Employees Provident Fund Organisation vide Circular No. WSU/20243/12/'Inoperative Accounts in EPF'(300140/3978) dated 2-Aug-2024, notified SOP for Transaction-less and Inoperative Accounts in EPFO.

SOP for surrender of EPF Exemption

The Employee Provident Fund Organisation vide Circular No. E-III/10(168)2021/SOP dated 13-Aug-2024, notified the SOP for surrender of EPF Exemption. The EPFO launched a new online system concerning the surrender of exemption and the transfer of members' previous accumulations. This system can be accessed through the Employer's Login of the Unified Portal. It is designed for employers from exempted establishments to file their applications and necessary documents online, which will then be processed by the Regional Offices. The system adheres to the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the Surrender of Exemption, issued on 30/10/2023.

Minimum wages

Draft Notification: The Government of Maharashtra Vide Extraordinary Gazette Notification No.118 dated 12-Aug-2024 , has issued draft notification for revision on minimum wages with effect from the date final notification is issued.

Mumbai Security Guard Board: Government of Maharashtra Vide Reference No. Suram/Vibh/Aldo/2024-7602, has issued the Maharashtra (Mumbai and Thane) Security Guard Board Minimum Wages VDA Notification with effect from 01st July 2024.

Other Districts: The Security Boards if other districts Aurangabad, Sangli, Kolhapur, Nagpur, Nashik, and Raigad Security Guard boards vide Notification dated 06-Aug-2024, notified revision of minimum wages for security guard boards with effect from 01st July 2024.

Pune Security Guard Board: Government of Maharashtra Vide Ja.Na.Pu.jisu.r.mm.pu.12290, has issued the Maharashtra (Pune) Security Guard Board Minimum Wages VDA Notification with effect from 01st July 2024.

Odisha: Government of Odisha vide Notification No. 6471 dated 20-Aug-2024 and Notification No.6477, notified minimum wages applicable in respect of categories of employment.

Madhya Pradesh Private Security Agencies (Regulation) Rules, 2024

The Government of Madhya Pradesh vide Notification No.F1-172-2021-dated 07-Aug-2024, has issued Notification of the Madhya Pradesh Private Security Agencies (Regulation) Rules, 2024. In suppression of the Madhya Pradesh Private Security Agencies Rules, 2012.

Paid holiday due to General Election in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir

The Government of Haryana Vide Circular No.3119 dated 29-Aug-2024, has announced paid holiday due to General Election holiday on various phases. Also vide Press Note dated 31-Aug-2024, the Election Commission of India notified the change of date of polling from 01-Oct-2024 (Tuesday) to 5-Oct-2024 (Saturday).

The Government of Jammu and Kashmir Vide Circular No.GAD-ADM0111/231/2024-09-GAD, has announced paid holiday due to General Election holiday on various phases (18/09/2024, 25/09/2024,01/10/2024) in Jammu and Kashmir.
